Privacy Policy
The Agentic Editor is an independent digital publication. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to be as clear and direct in our privacy practices as we are in our reporting.

About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how The Agentic Editor ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our publication, read our content, subscribe to our email, or contact us. It applies to our website and any emails we send. It does not cover the practices of companies we report on or link to.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, email address, and message when you use our contact form, and your email address when you subscribe to our newsletter. We also collect information automatically when you visit our site, including your approximate location, device type, browser type, pages viewed, and referring website. If you submit a tip or correction, we collect only what you choose to share.
How we use your information
We use information to respond to inquiries and tips, to deliver and improve our email and editorial content, to understand how readers engage with our work, to measure the performance of our coverage, and to protect the security and integrity of our publication. We do not sell your personal information.
Contact and tip submissions
When you submit our contact form, we store your name, email, and message so our editorial team can respond and keep a record of the inquiry. Information shared in confidence — such as a source tip — is handled with care and used only for the editorial purpose you intend. You may request that we delete a submission at any time.
Email and newsletters
Our newsletter, The Weekly Briefing, is free and voluntary, and the signup form uses an unchecked consent checkbox that must be checked before submission. We collect your email address and, if you choose to provide it, your optional first name. We also record limited subscription-management information, including consent-text version and time, source page, subscription and confirmation status, unsubscribe status, bounce or complaint status, and minimal security and audit metadata. Raw confirmation tokens and raw IP addresses are not stored. The Weekly Briefing uses double opt-in: after you submit the form, we send a confirmation email with a single-use link that expires after 24 hours, and newsletter delivery does not begin until you confirm your email address. Contact-form submissions never create newsletter subscriptions. Resend provides our email delivery and subscriber management. Confirmed subscribers are synchronized to the “The Agentic Editor — Weekly Briefing” segment in Resend for delivery and preference management. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe method. Unsubscribe, bounce, complaint, and suppression events are used to stop or manage future delivery. Subscriber information is not sold or rented, and contact and subscription data is not used to train third-party AI models.
Cookies and similar technologies
Our site may use essential first-party or hosting-platform technologies and local browser storage necessary for site operation, security, authentication, and remembering your preferences. The publication does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral-advertising trackers. You can control or clear cookies through your browser settings; some features may not function if cookies are disabled.
Analytics and measurement
We may use hosting-platform analytics for aggregate page views, referrals, and device and browser information to improve our coverage and site performance. This information is not used to identify individual readers. The publication does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral-advertising trackers.
Advertising and sponsored content
Where we display advertising or sponsored content, third parties may collect or receive information about your visit to our site and other sites to measure performance and show relevant ads. Sponsored content is always labeled, and our editorial coverage is never determined by advertisers or sponsors.
Use of AI in editorial work
We may use AI tools as part of our research and editorial workflow to help organize information, compare sources, transcribe material, identify potential inconsistencies, and improve accuracy and clarity. These tools support rather than replace editorial judgment. Published material is reviewed for relevance, accuracy, context, and clarity, and responsibility for publication decisions remains with The Agentic Editor. Information submitted through contact or subscription forms is not used to train third-party AI models.
How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate our publication — for example, with email, analytics, or hosting providers acting on our behalf under appropriate safeguards — or when required by law. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your contact or tip submissions with advertisers.
Data retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. Contact submissions are retained for our editorial records and then removed on request or on a regular schedule. Subscriber data is retained while the subscription is active or as reasonably needed for consent, delivery, security, suppression, and legal records. After unsubscribe or a deletion request, minimal suppression information may be retained to honor the opt-out and prevent unwanted future email. Deletion can be requested through the Contact page.
Your rights and choices
You can review or correct the information you give us, unsubscribe from our email at any time, and ask us to delete your information or limit its use. To exercise any of these rights, or to ask what we hold about you, contact us at our contact page. We will respond within a reasonable time and never charge you for these requests.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No system is perfectly secure, but we take our responsibility for reader information seriously and review our practices as our publication grows.
Children's privacy
Our publication is intended for a general professional audience, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
International readers
Our publication is based in the United States. If you read us from another country, your information may be processed in the U.S. and subject to U.S. law. We aim to provide a level of protection consistent with this policy for all readers, regardless of location.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or features change. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. For significant changes, we will note them on our site or notify subscribers where appropriate.
